In brief, Dr. Brown is a Psychometrist. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh through the Clinical Psychology Department in the area of Forensic Neuropsychology in 2017. She subsequently completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Edinburgh through the Centre for Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychopathology, Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. She is currently working in private practice assisting with non-treating medical examinations for a variety of third parties and providing behaviour tracking and safety planning for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She also has an honorary contract with the University of Edinburgh and is the co-investigator on a research project examining physiological predictors of aggression in Forensic Psychiatric Hospitals. Dr. Brown has completed certification training by the Canadian FASD Research Network in Multidisciplinary Team Training for Diagnosis of FASD, Training for administration and scoring of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, PCL-R Violence Risk Training, training for evaluation of risk for violence using the HCR-20-V3, and training for forensic applications of the MMPI-2-RF assessment. She has received multiple APA Continuing Education credits in sessions regarding the MMPI-2-RF. During her Ph.D. Dr. Brown was trained in conducting an extensive battery of neuropsychological assessments, including the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS), Connors Continuous Performance Test (CPT), Facial Expression of Emotion: Stimuli and Test (FEEST), Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (CANTAB) and Test of Memory Malingering (TOMM).
